The Therapeutic Justice Foundation is a 501(C)(3) organization founded in 2010 by Judge Al Alonso.

Our Mission:

To provide support for the success of the participants of the Bexar County Specialty Courts through the funding of treatment, education, training, and public awareness.

Key Contributions:

Financial Support: Over $200,000 provided for the success of Specialty Court participants.

Drug Testing and Monitoring: Over $30,000 in support of indigent participants’ drug testing and alcohol monitoring.

Food Pantry: Filled over 280 food orders and holiday dinner baskets, serving nearly 250 households.

Treatment Efforts: Invested over $40,000 in treatment for Specialty Court participants.

Bus Passes: Provided over $30,000 worth of bus passes to Specialty Court participants.

Sober Living Housing: Over $51,000 provided for participants discharged from residential treatment, whose homes or neighborhoods are not conducive to sobriety.

Training Efforts: Over $95,000 invested in training efforts.

Educational Workshops: Over $10,000 in stipends provided for local government personnel/leaders and college students to attend educational workshops on drug courts.

Specialty Court Commencement Ceremonies: Honored and recognized the success of well over 1,000 graduates and their families from specialty courts.

Curriculum Manuals: Provided over $1,500 worth of treatment curriculum manuals to Specialty Court participants.
