Carlos D. Lopez MA


Carlos D. Lopez, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Policing and Crime Prevention, and a Master’s Degree in International Relations with a concentration in International Criminal Justice and Crime Control. Mr. Lopez also attended legal studies in Mexico at the Universidad Autonoma de Nueva Leon Law School.   He has spent many years working in the field of criminal justice substance abuse treatment services, and therapeutic drug courts, and is a Texas Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern.  

Mr. Lopez promotes Therapeutic Justice strategies internationally.  In 2010 he served as a liaison guide to the Mexico’s Justice Delegation touring the U.S., San Antonio Felony and Misdemeanor Drug Courts.  Since then a pilot drug court model has been instituted in Monterrey, Mexico.  Mr. Lopez is Bilingual in Spanish and English.  He presently serves as the President for Amexica International Consultants who has its corporate office in San Antonio, Texas and a subsidiary office in Monclova, Coahuila Mexico.
